About

Allison Hahn is a 1st grade special education teacher at Woodland Elementary School in Hardin County, Kentucky. She is a Hardin County Schools Innovate Fellow, dedicated to growing technology leaders in her fellow teachers and students. Allison has worked with students in K-5 with developmental delays, specific learning disabilities, and autism. Her mission is to help her students grow socially and academically. She advocates for student use of technology, no matter their age or ability level.

Allison received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in English and Social Studies from Campbellsville University in 2007. She earned her Master’s of Arts in Education degree in Special Education, LBD P-12 from the University of the Cumberlands in 2014.

Allison is a Google Certified Educator Level 1 and a Google Certified Educator Level 2, as well as an Apple Teacher. She is the Program Review leader for K-3, a Technology Committee member, and a member of the Hardin County Schools Autism Cadre. She is the co-facilitator of the SBDM Election Council and a Junior Beta Club Sponsor for the past 8 years.  She is the Educator of the Year for the Radcliff Optimist Club. She is a member of the Kentucky Educators Association and the Kentucky Society for Technology in Education.  She is one of the founders of SpEd Tech, a group of 3 educators who share with others how special needs teachers can use technology to increase their efficiency and implement technology with their students.

She speaks often at her school and surrounding schools in her district about different ways to implement technology in instruction. Allison has presented at the Kentucky Society for Technology in Education Spring Conference.  She will present at the EdTech Team Bluegrass Summit on April 22, the HCS Innovate Summer Institute on July 11, and the #KYGoDigital event on June 8. She will also be attending Google’s Geo Teachers Institute in Mountain View, California at the Google Campus in July.

Allison currently lives in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
